Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sent a letter to Pakistan Television (PTV) seeking arrangements for broadcast of Imran Khan’s address to nation on Sunday.
According to media reports, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s central secretary information, Naeem-ul-Haque, requested in a letter to PTV to make arrangements for Imran Khan’s live address to the nation on April 10 (Sunday).
According to letter Imran Khan want to address the nation from his office.
In a letter, PTI’s central Secretary Information, Naeem ul Haque, requested PTV to make necessary arrangements for Imran Khan’s live address to the nation on 10th April (Sunday) at 6:00 pm.
According to PTI letter, PTV is a national asset and it is not for propagating for a single person or family, adding that like PM Nawaz Sharif and his family, every Pakistani has equal right on the state TV.
Imran Khan will address the nation from his office, according to Naeem ul Haque.
Meanwhile, Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has supported Imran Khan, saying that PTV is a public property.
In a latest development government refused Imran Khan for a speech on state-run PTV.
Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed said, “Only President and Prime Minister have right to address nation on state owned PTV.”
