ISLAMABAD: Heavy rain hit Punjab and northern parts of the country on Wednesday morning.
A pleasant weather was recorded in most cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) after heavy rainfall. However, heavy down pour also brought problems for people; long power outages and sewage blockages were reported from many cities.
In the provincial metropolis, Lahore, daily life of people was severely affected. Power supply had still not been restored in most parts and many localities including posh ones, continue to be inundated with rain water, several hours after rainfall had stopped. The dug up areas along Orange Line Train project, have been particularly badly affected.
According to Meteorological Department, rain-thundershower was witnessed in Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad, Kasur, Rawalpindi/Islamabad and Gujranwala districts of Punjab and Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Mardan and Peshawar divisions of KP.
Rain was recorded in with strong gusty winds at some locations of DI Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Quetta, Zhob, Sibi and Larkana divisions as well.

Islamabad 33 degree centigrade, Lahore and Peshawar 26, Karachi 29, Quetta and Murree 19, Gilgit 20 and Muzaffarabad 21 degree centigrade.
