Fresh hearing of Panama case begins in Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has started fresh hearing of Panama Papers case.

It is being heard by a five-judge larger bench of Supreme Court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.

The new bench also includes Justice Ejaz Afzal, Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan.

In his arguments, Advocate Tariq Asad said that investigations should be carried out against all those whose names appear in Panama Papers.

Starting his arguments, PTI’s lawyer Naeem Bokhari said they have no objection to the present bench.

Justice Azmat Saeed said if there is no objection to the bench then avoid giving statements through media. Justice Asif Saeed Khosa said a new bench on Panama Papers has been constituted and it would examine all papers.
