Los Angeles: Hollywood key actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have finalized their divorce after two months quarrel over final terms of break-up, the sources revealed.
After the decision, Hollywood film star Johnny Depp, 53, would have to pay an amount of $7m to actress Amber Heard, who said she would donate this amount to two charity firms.
Amber Heard would keep the dogs, Pistol and Boo, whom she took with her to Australia illegally in 2015.
It is pertinent to mention here the bone of contention between the two was the domestic abuse, a claim that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor denied.
According to the sources, the actress said that Johnny Depp had been physically abusing to her at home, and once threw a mobile phone at her face during a quarrel in February last year.
Separately, Johnny Depp’s lawyer denied the allegations, saying Heard was “attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse”.
Amber Heard said she would donate the money from the divorce settlement to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles as the BBC reported.
“They were all pleased to put this unpleasant chapter in Mr Depp and his family’s lives behind them”, Depp’s lawyer Laura Wasser maintained.
It is pertinent to mention here that the couple, who has no children together, remained under marriage for just 18 months and split in May 2016.
