Islamabad (APP): Corps Commanders Conference was held here on Thursday at the General Headquarters here.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif chaired the meeting, Inter Services Public Relations said in a Press Rlease.
An exhaustive review of professional matters, internal and external security situation including the ongoing operations against terrorists in Shawal and rest of the country were discussed.
“The forum was apprised about the activities of Hostile Intelligence Agencies inside Pakistan and the response thereof. It was resolved to take all measures to block hostile acts against Pakistan, which can undermine our security and growth,” said the ISPR statement.
A day earlier, the National Security Committee (NSC) of the Federal Cabinet expressed its concern over the activities of hostile intelligence agencies working in Pakistan to destabilise the country.
The NSC meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and also attended by General Raheel Sharif, decided to raise the issue of the activities of hostile agencies in Pakistan with the world community.
The developments follow the arrest of an Afghan intelligence officer from Chaman plotting terrorist attacks in different parts of Balochistan.
The arrest of Kulbhushan Yadav, an officer of Indian spy agency RAW, from Balochistan last month was also discussed.
During investigation and a later video confession, Yadav revealed that he was a serving officer of the Indian Navy and was operating in Balochistan to facilitate separatist movement at the behest of RAW.
Yadav revealed that RAW maintains presence of a network of operatives in Balochistan and Karachi as part of its plan to destabilise Pakistan.
