Foreign Minister of Pakistan Khawaja Asif has said that there is no military solution to Afghanistan issue, adding peace and dialogue are the only way to resolve the issue of the war-torn country.
Addressing a press conference along with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi at State Guest House, Beijing, he said Pakistan supports One China policy.
“China is playing a positive role for the resolution of Afghan problem. Terrorism is an international problem and Pakistan is eliminating terrorists from its soil in armed forces’ operations like Zarb-e-Azb and Radd-ul-Fasaad.”
Earlier, both the foreign ministers discussed regional and international issues. National Security Advisor Nasser Khan Janjua and Pakistan’s ambassador to China were also present on the occasion.
Chinese foreign minister said, “All of us should work in concert instead of leveling allegations as Pakistan has been the victim of terrorism for last several decades. The international community should acknowledge the sacrifices which Pakistan gave in anti-terrorism war. We are standing by Pakistan in changing the regional and international situation, and will continue to extend cooperation with Pakistan.”
