KARACHI: At least four police officials were killed and three injured in two unconnected bouts when unidentified gunmen released fire on them in the city’s Orangi Town, Baaghi.tv reports.
The police officials were positioned for the safety of polio vaccination officials, Baaghi.tv reported.
The movement to eliminate polio in Pakistan has been oppressed with danger, with radicals aggressively killing and attacking health teams they blamed of being undercover agents.
A polio employee was gunshot and injured in February and in January a suicide bomber killed 15 people outside a polio annihilation centre in Quetta.
This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
