Pakistan and India are undergoing ‘high temperature’ and tough ‘weather conditions’. The situation is quite unfavourable as indian extremists are trying to create hurdles in entertainment and other mediums of friendly communication due to war against terrorism. The so-called peace loving and democratic country has no tolerance and sense left and therefore it is doing all it can to spread hatred and disharmony between the two nations.
Recently, the Motion Pictures Producers Association of India has passed a resolution to ban all Pakistani actors and content from their tv channels and big screens forever. The extremist party Shiv Sena had earlier given an ultimatum to all Pakistani actors to leave India otherwise they were going to be responsible for the consequences. Seems like India has totally forgotten all ethics and decency in their thirst of war.
While others stars of the Indian industry have strongly appreciated the act of banning Pakistani actors and ‘surgical strike’ , Salman khan has taken a bold step and stood in favour of the Pakistani artistes.
This is what he says:
“They are artists, not terrorists. It is the Indian government who gives them permits and visas.”
His words have brought in huge amount of hatred and the Indian nation as well as the extremist party Shiv Sena have bashed him with loathsome comments in their tweets:
Looks like the people have gotten too offended after hearing from a sensible man.
The veteran actor Om Puri also faced eruption of volcanoes as he tried to do some logical talk. He emphasized on the point that art and politics should be kept separate and nothing should come in between them. Also, in a television program, he openly supported peace, harmony and good relations among the neighbouring countries. He explained that critical relations were unfavourable for families living across the borders. He also questioned that did people want Pakistan and India to turn into Israel and Palestine and keep fighting for centuries. He also criticized the so-called democratic and peace-loving nation to send in 10-20 suicide bombers to Pakistan if that is what they really wanted. He faced a lot of criticism and hatred for speaking against his country and ‘disgracing’ his army. Twitter bursted with tweets against him.
All this hype and hatred shows that the country which boosts of having the biggest democratic and fair system is unable to digest criticism and doesn’t even allow freedom of speech. This is irony at its best.
