In a recent hearing of Bhola Gujjar murder case, the accused Naveed has given his confessional statement that he murdered Bhola Gujjar on instructions of Rana Sanaullah.
The court of District and Session Judge has now ordered to investigate the issue and has specifically ordered that the investigations may not be taken by an officer less than a Superintendent of Police (SP).
The orders have been issued directly to the City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad.
The accused Navid’s confessional statement says that Rana Sanaullah planned Bhola Gujjar’s murder because Gujjar was planning to leave the party and was willing to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Rana Sanaullah did not want Gujjar to contest next elections against him and that is why he hired Navid for his murder.
On January 9, 2015 when Gujjar went to see his lawyer Ateeqa Advocate, Navid followed him and then murdered him.
According to Navid, he was given and Iphone by Rana Sanaullah on which he informed him about he murder on a Viber call.
“I was brutally beaten when I recorded my statement in the police station”, Navid said. The police including DSP and Inspectors pressurised me not to take Rana Sanaullah’s name at any cost, he added.
Navid has been punished with capital punishment under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code.
The decision and future of Rana Sanaullah after this statement is based on the inquiry and investigation report to be made by the CPO Faisalabad.
