Former police officers who were charged and sentenced to 17 years in prison in Benazir Bhutto murder case have challenged the verdict in Lahore High Court.
Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Rawalpindi had on August 31 found former CPO Saud Aziz and former SP Khurram Shehzad guiltier in Benazir Bhutto murder case and awarded 17-year imprisonment to both of them each along with the imposition Of fine.
Saud Aziz and Khurram Shehzad have filed separate appeals in the LHC’s Rawalpindi bench. They pleaded in their appeals that they are not guiltier and innocent. Their imprisonment order should be declared null and void, and set them free.
