Lahore, April 21 (Online): Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that Army Chief had set an example by acting against the corrupt elements in the armed forces and the rulers should also follow suit by offering themselves for accountability, says a press release.

Addressing a ceremony at the Jamia Masjid Mansoora Thursday afternoon, he said that the nation would accept only the enquiry commission headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
He said that the talk of a parliamentary commission was simply a time-gaining tactic as such a commission would not access to the international institutions.
Sirajul Haq said that the political parties should weed out the corrupt elements within their ranks and said that the JI offered itself for this task.
He however declared that the Prime Minister would neither be allowed to hide behind a commission of his choice nor the matter would be allowed to die out itself.
The JI chief said the Federal Finance Minister had admitted that the Pakistanis working abroad were remitting more than Rs. 18 billion to the country annually. He said it was most shameful that whereas the overseas Pakistanis were earning foreign exchange for the country, the rulers were transferring national wealth to foreign countries.
Sirajul Haq also advised the institutions working for accountability to abandon the policy of plea bargain and recover the entire amounts from the plunderers.
The JI chief said that the Prime Minister and his cabinet ministers had been crying hoarse for accountability and recovery of the plundered wealth from the corrupt but they were now reluctant to offer themselves for accountability.
He announced that the JI would stage a big rally against corruption in Peshawar on April 23 and in Lahore on April 24 and urged the masses to join the rally in maximum numbers so that the rulers could not escape accountability.
