General Bajwa, in an investiture ceremony held at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday, conferred military awards and honors upon army officers and upon the families of martyrs for their sacrifices and acts of bravery in defending Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, the army chief said that peace and stability had been restored in the country as a result of the sacrifices rendered by martyrs and ghazis (victors).
In his speech, the army chief said, “peace and stability had been restored in the country as a result of the sacrifices rendered by martyrs and ghazis (victors)”. It was a ceremony filled with memories, tears, honors, grace, and pride. What could be more graceful than this!
Paying rich and much deserved tribute to martyrs and their families, Chief said, “no medal or worldly benefit could substitute the sacrifice of martyrs. He further said,”Pakistan was able to successfully defeat the menace of terrorism with bravery and faith in God.”
Army extolled families of the martyrs for their supreme sacrifices, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that as long as such valiant mothers exist, no power on earth could cast an evil eye on Pakistan. We are the nation of brave daughters and sons, and nothing could deter us.
Martyrs’ awards were received by their family members.
Heirs of martyrs and senior military officers were also present on the occasion.
We are in solidarity with those who lost their lives in the line of duty to keep us alive.
