61% Pakistanis claim to have no trust in police: Gallup

Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 61% Pakistanis claimed to have little to no trust in the police.

According to press release issued on Tuesday, a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Question: “From the point of view of honesty and ethical trustworthiness, how much would you trust the police?”

In response to this question, 12% said that they would trust the police very much, 27% said that they would trust the police to a great extent while 32% said that they would have little trust in the police and 29% said that they would have no trust at all.
