At least five people were killed in an explosion at a cement factory in Sukkur on Tuesday.
DIG Sukkur Feroze Shah said that the two members of the Bomb Disposal Squad, a Rangers official and a labourer embraced martyrdom while defusing explosives at the factory.
The deceased was in the middle of defusing explosives at the site when the explosion occurred, critically injuring six other Rangers personnel, the factory manager and a labourer.
Heavy contingents of police arrived at the venue.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the matter and ordered an enquiry into the incident, a spokesman for the minister said.
The Sindh CM has demanded a detailed report about the incident, including where and how the explosives were placed inside the factory and who brought them there.
