Sibi: At least two passenger were killed and ten others injured when a Quett-train hit with a rockets on railway track on Tuesday.
According to media reports, train was hit by a rocket at Mattari in Balochistan. The militants fired three rockets at Jaffar Express near Sibi town.
Security forces cordoned off the area and started search of the attackers who managed to flee in the mountainous region.
According to SP Railways the rocket exploded when the train reached Bala Nari area. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack but separatists demanding greater autonomy have been waging an insurgency for years and the province is also riven by sectarian strife and violence.
Several attacks on trains, railway tracks and other installations have taken place in the province during the past few years.
