New Delhi: At least eleven persons were killed and five others injured when an auto rickshaw collided with a lorry on Tuesday in Karnataka, India.
According to police, all the eleven died on the spot in the collision, they were travelling on ‘tum tum’ (a large locally made auto rickshaw).
Five injured people, including the cleaner of the lorry, have been admitted to hospital but condition of some occupants is critical, Hindustan Times reported.
Police said that truck driver is missing and believed to have fled the vehicle after accident. Poor visibility is a possible reason of the accident, according to initial findings.
The victims were travelling from Koppal to Kuknoor area in Karnataka.
